Sibelius seems now to have a massive “fan base” of musicians who appear to have endless dollars to spend on this lovely software! Personally I always find it rather sad when “musicians” say that they just couldn’t live without Sibelius ! (Hopefully there are talking about the composer !)

Have fun with your cracked version of Sibelius and with your conscience. The problem today is that most people want the ultimate professional software for a couple of bucks. Sibelius is a professional notation programme and therefor isn't cheap. Plus, the cost of software is tax deductable, so there is no reason to cry over the money.

I've been using Sibelius since Sib1.4 and I can tell you this: the initial purchase and every upgrade have paid themselves back after just one composing/arranging job each.

Find out how long it has been since a company has upgraded its software. When buying software (any software) it is smart to use your brains before buying. "I bought Sibelius 2 sometime ago - only to find just 5 weeks later that Sibelius 3 was out. Luckily there are far more users who do not share your view on the company.
